Gunkspace is a research agency that specializes in experimental urban infrastructures. We use the hydrological system as a lens for analysis and a framework for intervening into the complex interconnections between urbanization patterns and ecological processes.
We work across disciplines: urbanism, ecology, anthropology; through different media: articles, video, architectural assemblages, reports; at varying scales: installations, buildings, biomes; on projects in and around Europe, the Americas and Asia.
Our collaborators include institutions like universities, municipalities and cultural organizations, as well as individual activists, artists and community leaders.
